Flag Retirement Ceremony at the Galveston Naval Museum
During our last work week in April of 2025, the Submarine Veterans of North Texas Partnered with the Galveston Naval Museum to hold a U.S. Flag Retirement Ceremony. All guests at the museum were invited to attend and also to participate if they chose to. During the ceremony, we were able to retire approximately two full duffel bags of U.S. Flags and many of the museum guests participated. One of the work week staff volunteers is also a bagpipe player and added his music to the event. Overall, it was a great success with over 100 guests who watched and participated. These are some of the photos from that event.
