The flag retirement ceremony and family outing at the Military Heritage Collection of North Texas Museum in Nevada is still on hold. Now that we've had some rain, we will have a discussion about a date. Once we have one, bring food to BBQ, chairs, drinks for your family and a side dish. Grills will be provided. Bring an awning if you have one. An extra folding table or two will also be helpful.
Scholarship Application
Below you will find the link to a form. This form should be filled out from a computer, not a phone, to ensure all fields are complete. You may save your form in an incomplete state at any time and return to it later, but once it has been submitted, it is locked.
These scholarships have a few requirements. The applicant must have a connection to North Texas. You must also have a member of the United States Military, either active duty or a veteran, as a family member. It is acceptable for the applicant to actually be the active duty or veteran member. Finally, you will be required to attend at least one group meeting as well as the scholarship awards ceremony at your own expense. Due to this last requirement, it is encouraged that applicants be from the general Collin County / DFW area or be able to be in the area for the in person requirements for some other reason. We do not wish applicants to incur significant expenses to apply for or acquire one of our scholarships.
So that it minimizes interference with end of the year activities, we will be awarding our scholarships in April of each year. All scholarship finalists will be asked to attend our April meeting, which will be the third Saturday of the month at 11 am.
